Waiting in the shallows

The very remarkable, prehistoric looking Shoebill is by far my favorite of all African birds. Undeniably intimidating, but also goofy looking, and with a certain degree of grace and poise as well. All around a wonderfully weird animal. Done a couple of years ago.
